Production control issues use sensors in conveyor belt applications, but with the advent of Industry 4.0, the use of computer vision has become an attractive option for production control. This is evidenced in [1], where computer vision is used to control production on an automotive line. Likewise, in the case of elements with simpler geometry, image processing techniques can be used to control production [2]. Therefore, in this research, to address the problem of production control in transmission chains, an algorithm capable of tracking and accounting for manufactured elements is proposed. To achieve this, we begin by creating a database with photographs of the parts that make up a power transmission chain in accordance with ASA (American Standard Association) and BS (British Standards) standards. To justify the choice of method, we will compare the different artificial vision alternatives (image processing, machine learning, and deep learning). Finally, the DeepSORT algorithm is implemented on the Raspberry PI 3 board, highlighting that the SSD MobileNet V2 neural network reached a speed of 9.88 FPS, the neural network for classification achieved a memory reduction of less than 2 % of its original size, and the DeepSORT algorithm achieved a MOT value of 1 for 3 objects at the same time.
