Resumen

This work shows the methodology followed in the development of integrated 3D geological model of Verdun Formation in the water injection project in Laguna field, located in Block X in the Talara Basin in Northwest Peru. Block X is currently being operated by the Company Petrobras Energía Perú S.A. In the opening chapters a brief description of regional and local geology is mentioning the characteristics of the sedimentological - stratigraphic, structural and petrophysical models. Aspects related to the generation of integrated 3D geological model was then deepened, describing the methodology followed step by step: Loading and quality control information, lithofacies generation, structural and stratigraphy three-dimensional model generation, scaled up lithofacies and well logs, geostatistical analysis, generation of three-dimensional model of lithofacies and petrophysical properties and their respective quality control. Likewise, the water saturation and formation volume factor of oil models taken for the calculation of original oil in place is mentioned. This work is not intended to establish a single methodology in the static characterization of hydrocarbon reservoirs and therefore a unique way to generate geological models, only shows the methodology followed particularly with the technological and information resources available to them. All geological interpretation can be enhanced or improved with technical input from experts and the acquisition of new information.
