Abstract

This thesis consists of 7 chapters, in which describes work methodology, sets goals the objectives of it and seeks to find the best estimation technique and geostatistical parameters for the estimation of the long-term resources of the Bateas vein. After the chapters introduction, conclusions and recommendations are announced. Next, the chapters are briefly described. First, in chapter I, the objectives of the work and the description of the property are presented. In chapter II, the reference to the regional geology of the study area: its stratigraphy, its tectonics and its economic geology is made. Chapter III refers to the local geology of the study area: its lithology, its structural geology, its hydrothermal alteration and its economic geology. Chapter IV describes the sampling methods, preparation techniques and sample analyzes, quality assurance protocols, and the different types of quality controls that must be included in each batch of samples. By the other hand, chapter V develops the work methodology in geological modeling and spatial analysis of information, where the statistics of the data and the geostatistical parameters used are determined. Chapter VI describes the estimation methods used, the methodology in the search for estimation parameters and approved techniques of estimation, as well as the analysis of the results obtained. Chapter VII is about the conciliation of long-term resource models; therefore, the objectives, diagrams and analysis of the results of a resource model are detailed. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations analyze the results that have been obtained, and evidence that the methodology and procedures are suitable and useful for a reliable estimate.
