Resumen

The structures of iron (hematite) are located in the strip ferriferous the northern coast of Peru in surface sites of "Nueva Esperanza and "Imperial" communities, approximately 15 km northeast of the town of Olmos, district of the same name, province and department Lambayeque. Mineralized nails that form the backbone "Clau-Gijupi" currently recognized in the area are located in predominantly lode schist metamorphic rocks attributed to lower Paleozoic Complex Olmos; were also observed locally andesitic dykes emplaced parallel to the grain. The mineralogical assemblage limonite - hematite - magnetite of this structure is dominantly hematite granular appearance occasionally encompasses a massive shale enclaves (horse waste rock), according to the current geological knowledge, Clau - Gijupi mineralized vein settle nails (structure type of rosary) whose dimensions are not clearly defined but the longitudinal extensions would be in the range of 50 to 120m , the vertical range ( depth) and depth trend ("plunge") of them are still unknown.
