Resumen
The work area is located along the Marañon River, in the section from Saramiriza to Punta Arenas, in a geological context of Quaternary deposits; The geotechnical conditions of four locations (San Juan, San Lorenzo, Puerto Industrial and Nueva Unión) located in the Loreto region were analyzed to mitigate the problem of river erosion and landslides through the design of port terminals. Slopes present conditioning factors that generate instability and possible failure that generate landslide. The water table is the most critical factor, but the geotechnical parameters (cohesion and friction angle) specific to each type of soil are also emphasized. Geotechnical parameters predict soil behavior under various conditions of external loads and seismic events. Both geotechnical soil parameters were used in a limit equilibrium mathematical model for slope stability analysis; For this, the Slide V.6 software was used, using the topographic survey and the stratigraphic characterization of the subsoil as complementary data. The processing of the data by the limit equilibrium method used resulted in safety factors greater than 1.5 in the static conditions; while in the pseudostatic conditions, the safety factors were less than 1.0, evidencing the case of instability of the four locations under pseudostatic conditions; for this purpose, reinforcement of the slopes was established and thus mitigate the risks of landslides in the investigated locations.
