The construction sector for industrial floor slabs in warehouses has been increasing in recent years due to mass industrialization in the goods and services markets in metropolitan cities like Lima. Regarding the performance of industrial slabs, they have been suffering damage from chemical and physical attacks. Another major factor is the poor quality of concrete, construction processes, and lack of periodic maintenance. In this research, the development of concrete with supplementary cementitious materials and steel fibers is presented as an alternative to improve its flexural and compressive performance compared to the traditional concrete floor method for industrial slabs. Mix designs with water-to-cementitious material ratios (w/cm) of 0.40, 0.45, and 0.50, Type V performance cement, microsilica dosages of 5%, 7.5%, and 10%, and steel fibers at 20 kg/m³, 25 kg/m³, and 30 kg/m³ were formulated to characterize the mixtures in their fresh and hardened states, in order to select the optimal designs. A cost-benefit comparative analysis between the optimal designs found in this research for the construction of industrial slabs is also presented. Likewise, the cost-benefit comparative analysis of the optimized designs is evaluated per m³ of material and per m² of constructed slab, with results showing that the developed optimal concrete designs represent a competitive alternative, as they achieve costs comparable to traditional concrete for use in industrial slab construction.
