Resumen

The Azuca project is an epithermal intermediate sulphidation ore, in veins, with contents of Ag-Au mine located between Arcata and Selene. It is a Brownfield Project Advanced Hochschild Mining PLC in Peru and that is in the feasibility study stage. It is composed of three mining concessions (Sugar 2 Sugar 3 and Titan 8) for a total of 2998.84 hectares, all 100% owned by Hochschild Mining PLC. The area is complex overlays Oligocene to Pleistocene volcanic with lava stages and pyroclastic volcanism (Tacaza Group, and Group Formation Alpabamba Barroso), the volcanic are in turn affected by subvolcanic intrusions by way of stocks, domes and dikes. During the various work done in 2011 confirmed the Ag-Au mineralization vein systems in 3 main vein systems NNW-SSE (Colombian), EW (Azuca West) and NNE-SSW (Yanamayo Zone). The surface outcrop vein system NNW-SSE is not continuous, however, in-depth mineralized horizon is at an altitude of 4400-4650m. The mineralization consists of white quartz, gray quartz and quartz hyaline with rhodochrosite. Some sections have fluorite is associated with fine disseminated pyrite, argentiferous galena, gray copper, silver and trace sphalerite red with values up to 3.75g/t-Au and 723g/t-Ag. The EW system does not outcrop surface, however deep the structure is at an altitude of 4600-4850m composed of white-hyaline quartz-calcite-pyrite-andesite breccia associated mainly with gray silica-pyrite-argentiferous galena with trace Values to 2.39g/t-Au and 854g/t-Ag. EW system also has tension structures at the ceiling and floor. The NNE-SSW system emerges surface irregularly and has been observed also by way of tension structures (Yanamayo, Vivian, Karla, Veronica, Andrea and Rafaella vein). In depth structures found brecciated quartz silica white-hyaline-gray fine disseminated pyrite associated with argentiferous-galena-sphalerite-gray copper with values up to 4.25g/t-Au and 220g/t-Ag, dimensions are variable mineralization of 4600-4850 m.
